Band-aid solutions that don't address the underlying cause of pain.
Taking the time to really get to know her patients and their goals to create a personalized treatment plan.
Dr. Bekah Peterson was born and raised in Mandan, North Dakota where she graduated from NDSU with a Bachelors of Science in Pre-med/Zoology. From there, she went on to pursue her Doctorate in Chiropractic and her Masters in Sports Medicine at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Bekah enjoys working with everyone, but she has a focus in individuals who maintain an active lifestyle and women’s health. Her master’s degree has allowed her to work alongside athletic trainers to help assess and treat sports injuries with rehab and soft tissue work. She has also advanced her knowledge in treating extremities such as hips, knees, elbows, wrists, and ankles. She is certified in the Webster technique which is most often used in pregnant women to gently improve the movement in the pelvis and surrounding soft tissues. This helps to provide the optimal environment for baby to grow and develop while decreasing the mothers’ pain during pregnancy. She is also currently enrolled in the Birthfit Leadership program which empowers women in their births and helps them train for birth and the journey of motherhood.
Dr. Bekah focuses on evaluating and incorporating a variety of spinal manipulation, rehabilitative exercises, and soft tissue work (IASTM, cupping, pin and stretch, & dry needling) into each visit. Her goal is to get her patients back to their activity in a quick and safe manner. She uses diversified adjusting methods, activator, drop table/Thompson, and Flexion Distraction (a form of traction) in her treatments.
